We’re picky. And so are you.
Our projects are interesting and demanding. So are our developers. We are tech generalists with expertise in a number of areas. We are looking for problem solvers who are accustomed to working in, or would like to work in, a variety of technologies. Our application process has been designed to assess that ability, to give us insight into how you think, and to provide you with insight into how we think and what we value. During your application process, you can expect to talk to and meet with engaged, friendly, creative people with high expectations. We are looking for the same. Is that you?
Let us know you exist
Browse our open developer positions here and, if you feel you’re a good fit, follow the job link to formally apply. We’ll review your materials and get back to you soon.
Should we agree you might be a good fit, we’ll arrange to have you phone the office and talk to real, live developer. You can expect to talk about who you are and what you’ve done, and we’ll be prepared to talk about who we are and what kind of stuff we do. We’ll try to be honest and realistic, so you can gauge if it sounds like a potential fit (we’ll be doing the same).
We’ll put together everything we know so far and, should things still look promising, we’ll bring you in to the Chicago office so you can meet some more developers, wow us with your awesomeness, and demonstrate why you’re going to have a positive impact @ DP. You can expect a tech portion to the interview and be given a problem or two to solve on the whiteboard. Correct answers are great, but so is being able to talk about your approach(es) and what’s going on in your head. Come prepared with whatever questions you need to ask to determine if DP is the right place for you.
Still with us? Great, you know your stuff, we’ve confirmed you’re a human and we want you to meet more members of team. We like food (AND company-provided lunches), so what better way for us to get better acquainted? It also gives you a chance to ask any additional questions.
If we think you’re a great fit for DP, congratulations! We’re excited to have you join the team and will present a formal offer letter. You will always have a chance to reach out and ask questions. You’ll also be asked whether you prefer to work on Mac or PC, and we’ll prepare a laptop to be available on your first day.
